These are the best online colleges in Texas with diverse student bodies that have robust online degree offerings.

Diversity, inclusion, and equity are important qualities in all aspects of society, and higher education is no different. Student populations are becoming more diverse, with BIPOC students occupying a larger share of academia than ever before. Accordingly, schools are learning to better serve and embrace BIPOC student populations, through supportive resources, campus groups, niche study programs, and scholarships.

In light of this, it is becoming increasingly common for colleges and universities at all levels to have white student populations accounting for less than the national median for non-white enrollment by percentage, which is currently 58%. Every school on this list falls into this category, with many having 50% or less white student enrollment. They are ranked in order of diverse student population size.

Many institutions on this list are also military friendly schools, and some are recognized as Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, or HBCUs.

    The College of Biblical Studies–Houston is a private, nondenominational Christian college established in 1979. It has a small student enrollment of just over 450, with 28% enrolled fully online. BIPOC students students make up 83% of the student population.

    CBS-Houston offers four online programs. Students may select from an AA in biblical studies, a BS in biblical studies and biblical counseling, and a BS in organizational leadership. Additionally, CBS offers Credits for Demonstrated Competency, which allows students to earn credit for life experience and certifications. It also offers dual credit opportunities for high school students, and is welcoming of homeschool students.

    The University of Houston is a public research university established in 1927. It has over 46,000 students enrolled, putting it among the largest universities in the state. 4% of its student population is enrolled fully online.
